'Unforgettably .........SHE' written by R. Brown

'The Beautiful SHE'

                        'Unforgettably..........SHE'

                               Breast Cancer .....

      'and all that have suffered in one way or another'

SHE, is a GRANDMOTHER that has given new life to bring forth life;

SHE, is a BRIDE to be, finding joy in her upcoming marriage ... looking to the future of a  family and wonderful memories to last a life time!  Now she is has to tell her fiancee' and is afraid he will no longer lover her; That he will call of their lifetime of forever as forever may be gone!

SHE, is a WIFE that planned on a life with her beloved; They now cry in each other's arms.  Will she be okay? Did they catch it in time?

SHE, is a MOTHER that has children to protect and fears for them; how will they make it without her life lessons?  A life without her?  She now is
worried that they too may carry the gene that her mother and she shared.

SHE, is A SINGLE MOTHER who worries the same, but ... who will hold their hands?  Raise them? Will they remember her long after she is gone?

SHE, is a DAUGHTER that does not know how to tell her parents, especially if her Mother has had the disease.
Or even afraid to tell her aging parents, she MAY pass unnaturally before them!

SHE, is a CHILD that is fearful he/she is going to lose his/her mother;  his/her best friend and protector ... Or a daughter that is fearful she may have it from a genetic standpoint, needing to be checked ... will she?

SHE, is an AUNT you love, a Sister you have or a Best Friend afraid of sharing and hurting those that love them;

SHE, is the PERSON without friends to tell, will she drown in her own tears and heartbreak?

SHE, is the LADY you saw today at the pharmacy, hoping for a cure in what she buys;

SHE, is a NEIGHBOR you may or may not know, spiraling downwards, in need of a friend NOW!  Maybe  your bosom buddy? Fearful ... 'will anyone understand'?

SHE, is a TEACHER that instructs you every day, hoping words of wisdom will stay with the young long after she is gone ...SHE does not know what to teach anymore; an instructor of tomorrows hopes;

SHE, is a CHEMIST searching for a cure in a team of the uncountable, but will a cure be found in time?  HER time?

SHE, is a FUNDRAISER. that fights the good fight, to bring dollars to a cause underfunded; will she be able to make enough for that breaking difference?

SHE, is a PROFESSIONAL, an EXECUTIVE, for once not knowing what to do ... with NO control, when control is what she is trained to maintain;

SHE, is an EMPLOYEE, afraid that her job will suffer, KNOWING she needs insurance !  Will she be able to keep her job or pay the many bills?  Will she have paid time off to recover? Or no...

SHE, is a PERSON walking down the street, with a forlorn look in her eyes; just screaming for help!  Silently;

SHE, is the OFFICER that saved a life just yesterday; wondering if someone will soon save hers before it is too late;

SHE, is the DOCTOR that just told her patient she has three weeks to live, knowing that she is the one of millions hoping a cure is found for her too!
SHE, is a Doctor that needs to maintain the needs of the many; How can she cure others when she questions all she knows?  How does she give THEM hope, when she fails at her own?  The Doctor who must stay focused for her patients, now doubts if she is able to do so;
                       HOW IRONIC, she cannot heal herself.

SHE, is a PATIENT hoping that her doctor will rid her of this plague. afraid of losing her life!
That is what they are ... Doctors curing people ... right?

SHE, is ONE of MANY putting her life on the line to keep our country 'The Land Of The FREE’;  will she come home in time for them to find the cancer and help her live in what she fought for?

SHE, is a BEAUTIFUL WOMAN inside and out, NOW ... more insecure than ever before.  Will it mutilate her self image?  Her internal spirit?

SHE, is a MODEL that is paid for what she looks like. Not who she is, but what she is.  Will this end all that she knows of a career?  Will her 'Friends that were, disappear as superficial and cold uncaring followers' of who she WAS?

BOTH the BEAUTIFUL WOMAN and the MODEL no longer feel beautiful, and struggle with their own self;
As if no one will ever see their worth again.

SHE, is Well Known and wishes she had never reached fame, Now she cannot hide easily.
'Singers, writers, Actresses, those with public faces',
Some take a stand ...Some do not!

SHE, is the PASTOR that leads many to the Lamb of God, praying for a miracle or a peaceful parting from this life into the arms of her lord!

SHE, is One that will hide now instead of be in the light of day, As if somehow a pariah that is plagued.

SHE, is a YOUNG or OLDER WOMAN that has lost her hair, thinking that soon she is the one no person will ever again see;  What will her LEGACY be?  Will she have left one at all?

SHE, is One of millions afflicted by cancer hoping for that second chance.  To live a LIFETIME of Thanks and Hopes for the future!

SHE, is ONE OF MANY fighting for a life that may have been taken for granted; many, now seeing the beauty before them for the first time.  How long will they be able to see that beautiful life?  Will they or not?
SHE, is a Woman that you may never meet ... or could be One that you have yet to meet; Today, Tomorrow or Next week ... but none the less, still she is!~

 SHE may be YOU,

                      SHE may be ME,

                                           SHE could even be a HE!

      BUT NETHER THE LESS,  SHE IS ... SIMPLY

                  UNFORGETTABLE

  1. What an incredible post!! It's crazy how cancer affects us all one way or another. Cancer doesn't discriminate and I think you really hit the nail on the head with your elaboration on the many faces of cancer. Bottom line, cancer fights dirty. It can pull out your hair and attack you while you're not looking, but it cannot take everything. I'm glad we connected Alegria and I really encourage you to please keep writing. I look forward to reading more of your future posts!
